Our Dongguan facility operates an 8-stage production process for all silicone and TPE products — from raw material receipt through to QC and packaging. Every stage is in-house. No production steps are subcontracted. 8,000 m² across casting, curing, finishing and QC departments.

Production Stages

Our 8-Stage Manufacturing Process

Every silicone and TPE product follows the same rigorous 8-stage process. No steps skipped, no stage outsourced.

Material Receipt

Raw platinum silicone received. Batch tested for safety, purity and hardness before production entry.

Mould Prep

Mould cleaned, inspected and pre-treated. Release agent applied per material spec.

Silicone Mix

Components mixed in precise ratio. Pigment and hardness modifiers added. Vacuum degassed.

Cast & Cure

Silicone poured into mould. Skeleton positioned. Cured at controlled temperature for specified time.

Demould & Trim

Unit removed carefully. Excess material trimmed. Surface inspected for voids or defects.

Finishing

Surface treatment applied — matte powder, skin-tone blending, makeup detailing where specified.

QC Inspection

Each unit photographed, measured, joint-tested. QC checklist completed. Non-conforming units rejected.

Pack & Ship

Unit packed per order spec. QC report printed and included with every shipment.

Skeleton & Joint Specification

Stainless Steel Skeleton

Standard skeleton option — cost-optimised, strong, fully articulated ball-and-socket joints. Included at no charge in all full-body products. 18-month warranty on joints.

Premium Alloy Skeleton

Lighter than steel, superior corrosion resistance, longer joint lifespan. Recommended for high-end OEM partners. Slight weight saving improves shipping economics on large orders.

Joint Range of Motion

All joints deliver full anatomical human pose range — neck 360°, shoulders / hips / elbows / wrists / knees / ankles all articulated. Joints hold set position without collapsing under product weight.

FAQ

Common Manufacturing Questions

What is the difference between platinum silicone and standard silicone?+

Platinum-cured silicone uses a platinum catalyst instead of a tin catalyst. This produces a material that is food-safe, odourless, hypoallergenic and more durable. Tin-cured silicone gradually degrades over time. All SilkDoll Studio products use platinum-cured silicone only.

Can I specify a custom hardness level?+

Yes. We offer 0°–40° Shore A. Most OEM partners specify 5°–20°. For dual-layer products, inner and outer layer hardness can be specified independently.

Do you use fillers or extenders in your silicone?+

No. Our platinum silicone is unextended — no mineral oil, no fillers, no bulking agents. Some manufacturers add these to reduce cost; this degrades quality significantly. We never do this.

What is your monthly production capacity?+

Our Dongguan facility produces approximately 500–800 full-body units or 3,000–5,000 compact body part units per month. Large volume orders are scheduled 4–6 weeks in advance.
