Products & Materials
What materials do you manufacture in?+
We manufacture in platinum-cured silicone (food-grade / medical-grade) and TPE (thermoplastic elastomer, phthalate-free). Platinum silicone is our premium material — odourless, non-porous, hypoallergenic, certified by SGS and TÜV. TPE is our value and mid-tier material — softer feel, lower unit cost, faster lead times.
What is the difference between platinum silicone and standard silicone?+
Platinum silicone uses a platinum catalyst for curing rather than tin. This produces a material that is food-safe, odourless, hypoallergenic and significantly more durable. Tin-cured silicone degrades over time and can release tin compounds. All SilkDoll Studio products use platinum-cured silicone only.
Can I specify a custom hardness level?+
Yes. We offer Shore A hardness from 0° (ultra-soft) to 40° (firm). For dual-layer products, you can specify different hardness for inner and outer layers independently. Most OEM partners specify 5°–20° Shore A for optimal realism.
Are your products body-safe and certified?+
Yes. Our platinum silicone products carry SGS and TÜV material safety certification per batch. Materials meet FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 (food contact grade). All products are phthalate-free, non-toxic and REACH compliant.
OEM & Private Label
Do you sign an NDA before seeing my designs?+
Yes, without exception. We sign a mutual NDA before any brand guidelines, product concepts, designs or customer information are shared in either direction. This is non-negotiable for us — protecting your IP is our first commercial obligation.
What is the minimum order quantity?+
Sample MOQ is 1 piece for all product lines. Bulk MOQ starts from 5 units per SKU for most product categories. Custom OEM packaging (branded retail boxes) requires MOQ 50 units per packaging run. Custom tooling for new product designs has no unit minimum after the tooling fee is paid.
Can I put my own brand on your standard products?+
Yes. Any product in our catalogue can be repackaged in your branded retail box, with your logo on the unit surface, custom insert cards and barcode. This is our standard private label service. MOQ 50 units for custom print packaging.
Do you keep my designs confidential?+
Yes. Your design brief, brand guidelines, product specifications and order volumes are shared only with the internal team working on your account. We never disclose client identity, product design or order information to any third party — including other clients.
Sampling & Lead Times
How do I order a sample?+
Contact us via the Get a Quote page or email. Specify the product SKU, material, configuration (skin tone, hardness, body type as applicable) and your shipping address. We will confirm sample price and lead time within 24 hours.
How long does a sample take?+
Standard catalogue products: 5–10 business days from payment confirmation. Custom configuration: 10–15 days. Custom ODM (new design): 3–5 weeks for first prototype. All lead times from payment confirmation.
Is sample cost refundable?+
Yes. Sample costs are fully credited against your first bulk order of 5+ units on the same SKU. The credit is applied automatically when the bulk order invoice is raised.
What is the bulk production lead time?+
Full-body silicone: 30–45 days. Full-body TPE: 18–25 days. Torso and body parts: 15–28 days. Accessories: 12–22 days. All from order confirmation and deposit payment. Rush production available for established partners.
Shipping & Logistics
Do you offer DDP shipping?+
Yes. We offer DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) to most major markets worldwide. Under DDP terms we handle export declaration, international freight, insurance, destination customs clearance and import duty payment. You receive a fully cleared delivery at your nominated address.
Can you ship directly to Amazon FBA fulfilment centres?+
Yes. We offer full Amazon FBA prep (FNSKU labelling, poly-bagging, carton marking) and direct-to-fulfilment-centre shipping. Provide your shipment plan; we handle the rest. Available for all product lines.
Do you ship in plain packaging?+
Yes. Plain, unmarked packaging is our default for all orders. Commercial invoice and shipping labels use a neutral product description (e.g. "silicone product" or "personal massager"). We never use SilkDoll Studio branding on external carton markings.
What shipping methods are available?+
Air express (DHL / FedEx, 5–8 days), air freight (8–14 days), sea freight LCL (28–35 days), sea freight FCL (25–35 days), China-EU rail (18–22 days) and Amazon FBA direct. All available under DDP, FOB or EXW terms.
Compliance & Legal
Are your products legal to import in my country?+
Adult silicone products are legal to import in most major markets — US, EU, UK, Japan, Australia, Canada — subject to correct HS code declaration. We have successfully exported to 60+ countries. We recommend consulting a local import compliance specialist for country-specific advice.
Do you provide CE and compliance documentation?+
Yes. CE declaration of conformity, SGS certificate, TÜV certificate, RoHS statement and REACH SVHC declaration are provided on request. Under DDP terms we handle customs clearance. Documentation provided per shipment.
Are you compliant with 18 U.S.C. 2257?+
Yes. SilkDoll Studio complies with 18 U.S.C. 2257 and equivalent statutes in other jurisdictions. All persons depicted in our materials are verified adults (18+). Records are maintained at our registered office and available for inspection per applicable law.
Can I visit the factory before placing an order?+
Yes. Factory visits are welcome by appointment. Please contact us at least 10 business days in advance. We accommodate direct client visits and third-party audit firms (Bureau Veritas, SGS, Intertek, QIMA). 20+ B2B audits hosted in the past 3 years.
